Terms & Conditions

Booking
You can book over the telephone on 01493 718008 during our opening hours Monday-Saturday 09:00-17:30. Out of hours, please send us a text message on 07894 99 4030.
The driver must present a valid driving license and a photocopy will be taken of your driving licence for our insurance policy. On collection, please bring your driving license, debit/credit card and 2 forms of ID with you, showing proof of address.
Age restrictions apply - you must be between 30-75 years old and have held your driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
For the booking we record your personal details to book the campervan and insurance for you, this will include name, email address, home address, telephone number, card payment details.
When booking the campervan, you are accepting an agreement to our terms and conditions.
Please retain your booking confirmation for your own records.

Booking Deposit
A deposit of £200 is payable on booking (or full amount if preferred) to secure your dates.
If the UK enters a full COVID lockdown, we will refund your deposit
We can take secure card payments over the telephone, or pay using BAC'S payments with your online banking app.

Security Deposit
We require a £1000 security deposit to be paid at time of booking.
You can use your credit card, where we will preform a preauthorization (provider puts a hold of the amount approved by the cardholder)
Cash payments accepted.
Monthly instalments are not currently offered.

Insurance
We advise you to take out travel insurance for all travellers to cover any personal losses, medical costs, personal contents or single articles, and cancellation cost etc. When the vehicle is left unoccupied, please do not leave any valuables on show and remember to take the keys out of the vehicle and lock it. You must use the van and its contents responsibly and comply with our health and safety guidelines. You will be liable for any damage above cab height, you are fully responsible for damage caused by failure to assess the height of the van and striking overhead objects. You must ensure the front & rear dashcam remains switched on and active for insurance purposes - this is to protect yourselves and us.

You will need to take out your own insurance.
Day Insure is the insurance provided by Aviva Insurance Limited.
The form is simple to fill in, however we can assist you with this if needed. You will need to fill in your name, details, driving license number, and our registration plate which is EC05 TAY (personalised plate)
You will need to add the RAC brakedown cover when buying your insurance from Day Insure, (costs £2.00-£10.00 extra - depending how many days you hire)

Condition of vehicle
We will perform a condition check on the return of the vehicle to ensure it has remained in the same condition. Photographs may be taken prior to hire if there are any areas of damage or any issues to the interior or exterior of the vehicle.
Alloy wheels - we have added aftermarket alloy wheels. We ask that you take extra care when parking the vehicle
Any damages will be taken out of the £1000.00 safety deposit.

Personal Safety
Do not exceed the maximum number of passengers to the number of seatbelts in the vehicle. All passengers must wear seat belts when the vehicle is in motion. Ensure all baby/child car seats are secured. The air bag should be disabled if there is a baby seat in the front seat - the switch can be found on the left side of the airbag compartment.
A fire extinguisher and fire blanket have been placed inside the vehicle in the event of a fire. Please familiarise yourselves with the location of these.
Wheel chocks will be provided to prevent accidental movement especially when parked on uneven surfaces or hills. Wheel chocks must be positioned downhill and below the vehicle's centre of gravity. On a downhill grade, position the chocks in front of the front wheels. On an uphill grade, position the chocks behind the rear wheels.

No Smoking
Smoking is prohibited inside of the vehicle, please adhere to this rule. A £60.00 fee will be deducted from the deposit.

Pets
We pride ourselves on accommodating families and pets. Although we are dog-friendly, we do ask that extra care is taken when dogs jump up into the vehicle to avoid scratches to the paintwork at the door sills. Please protect the interior furniture with blankets, these can be hired from ourselves - see our additional hireable extras page. Also, do not leave your dog alone in the campervan at any time. There is a £25.00 charge for pets (cleaning charge - checks will be in place)

Keys
In the event of damage or loss of keys, there will be a charge of £150.00 to cover for a replacement set. This will be deducted from the deposit.

Fuel
Please note that our VW campervan requires diesel. We will ensure the tank is full ready for collection, the fuel tank will be expected to be full to the same level upon return. This will be deducted from the deposit if not returned with a full tank of fuel.

Gas
Our campervan comes with it's own cooking gas (Gas Safe certified) all you need to bring is bacon & eggs!

Towing is prohibited on our VW camper.

Full breakdown cover
You will need to add the RAC brakedown cover when buying your insurance from Day Insure, (costs £5.00-£10.00 extra)
Our camper van is only just over a year old.
Every effort is made by the owners to maintain a road-safe condition prior to each hire.
In the unfortunate event of a fault or breakdown, the vehicle has full breakdown cover provided by the RAC. Depending on the extent of the situation, we will come to an agreement of a compensation if the faults are not related to your actions or are simply unavoidable. We reserve the right to refuse compensation. We will provide you with all contact details in case you need assistance. Please call us as soon as possible to update us on the situation.

We advise you to check the oil and water levels on a daily basis and ensure the vehicle's tyres are safe before driving.
In the event of an accident, you must inform us as soon as possible.
Drivers will hold full responsibility for any legal penalties or fines incurred during the period of hire, for example any speeding ticket fines.

BBQ

If taking a disposable bbq, please use at least 3 metres away from the camper, and never store under the camper once used.


Cancellation Policy
Inform us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your booking. In the event of cancellation, we will try to accommodate any change in date. If the cancellation is within 30 working days (Mon-Fri) of the scheduled hire date, 50% of the security deposit will be refunded. If the cancellation is within 7 days of the booking, unfortunately the security deposit will be non-refundable. However, if we are able to hire out the same campervan for this period, we will be happy to refund 50% of your security deposit.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking if a payment gets declined, if the customer

Collection
Allow 20 minutes for a demonstration run-through of how the vehicle and its equipment work, and also to discuss terms and conditions.
You can collect our camper from 14:00 on the day of hire.

Return times
To allow time for cleaning and sanitising between customers, we ask for our campervan to be returned to us by 12:00pm midday, this also allows time to check around the vehicle with the customer to and complete any outstanding documents or extra charges. We can be flexible with return times when negotiated prior to hire. However, if the vehicle is returned late without an agreement, there will be an additional charge of £25 per hour as this delays the next customer hiring the camper.
